His education included Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Colorado Boulder. His faith was Judaism. He received 6 awards, including Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Rosenstiel Award. He was buried at Congregation Mishkan Israel Cemetery.
