Sidney Dillon Ripley (* 20. September 1913 in New York City; † 12. March 2001 in Washington, D.C.) was an uS-amerikanischer Ornithologe und Naturschützer. He was 87 years old. He was married to Mary Livingston Ripley. His education included Harvard University, Columbia University and Yale University. He worked at Office of Strategic Services, Smithsonian Institution and Yale Peabody Museum. He received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Padma Bhushan in science & engineering. He was buried at East Cemetery.
