Sidney Lumet (* June 25, 1924 in Philadelphia; † April 9, 2011 in Manhattan) was an american director, producer and screenwriter. He was 86 years old. He had 4 wives. His education included Columbia University, Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and Professional Children's School. He received 9 awards, including Golden Globe Awards, Golden Bear. His cause of death was lymphoma. He was buried at Beth David Cemetery.
