Simin Daneshvar (* April 28, 1921 in Shiraz; † March 8, 2012 in Tehran) was an iranian writer. She was 90 years old. She was married to Jalal Al-e-Ahmad. Her education included University of Tehran and Stanford University. Her cause of death was influenza. She was buried at Behesht-e Zahra.
