Biography
Simon Leys (* September 28, 1935 in Uccle; † August 11, 2014 in Sydney) was a belgian-Australian writer, sinologist and essayist. He was 78 years old. His education included Catholic University of Leuven and National Taiwan Normal University. He received 7 awards, including Prix mondial Cino Del Duca, Prix Renaudot of essay. His cause of death was cancer.
