Biography of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen

Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen (* 6. November 1919 in Porto; † 2. July 2004 in Lisbon) was a portuguese poet and writer. She was 84 years old. She was married to Francisco Sousa Tavares. She had 5 children. She studied at University of Lisbon. Her faith was Catholicism. She received 5 awards, including Camões Prize, Grand Cross of the Order of Prince Henry. She was buried at Church of Santa Engrácia.
