Stanley Cavell (* September 1, 1926 in Atlanta; † June 19, 2018 in Boston) was an american philosopher. He was 91 years old. He was married to Marcia Cavell. His education included Harvard University, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Los Angeles and Juilliard School. He received 4 awards, including MacArthur Fellows Program, Harvard Centennial Medal. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
