Biography of Stepan Chmara

Stepan Chmara (* 12. October 1937 in Bob'iatyn; † 21. February 2024 in Kyiv) was an ukrainischer Politiker, Menschenrechtsaktivist und sowjetischer Dissident. He was 86 years old. He studied at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. His awards include Hero of Ukraine, Order of the State, Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th class and Order of Liberty. He was buried at Baikove Cemetery.
