Biography
Stephen Jay Gould (* September 10, 1941 in Queens; † May 20, 2002 in New York City) was an american biologist and historian of science. He was 60 years old. He was married to Rhonda Roland Shearer. His education included Antioch University, University of Leeds, Antioch College, Columbia University, Harvard University and Jamaica High School. His faith was agnosticism. He received 10 awards, including National Book Award, Humanist of the Year. His cause of death was lung cancer.
