Biography
Sydney Pollack (* July 1, 1934 in Lafayette; † May 26, 2008 in Pacific Palisades) was an american film director, producer and actor. He was 73 years old. He had 3 children. His education included Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and Stella Adler Studio of Acting. He received 6 awards, including Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama, Academy Award for Best Director. His cause of death was stomach cancer.
