Biography of Tetjana Markus

Tetjana Markus (* 21. September 1921 in Romny; † 29. January 1943 in Kyiv) was an ukrainisch-jüdische Widerstandskämpferin gegen den Nationalsozialismus. She was 21 years old. She worked at Southwestern Railways. Her awards include Medal "For the Defence of Kyiv", Hero of Ukraine, Order of the Gold Star and Medal "To a Partisan of the Patriotic War", 2nd class. She was buried at Babi Yar.
