Thomas A. Steitz (* August 23, 1940 in Milwaukee; † October 9, 2018 in Branford) was an american biochemist. He was 78 years old. He was married to Joan A. Steitz. His education included Harvard University, Lawrence University and Wauwatosa East High School. He received 10 awards, including Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Keio Medical Science Prize. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at Grove Street Cemetery.
