Trina Schart Hyman (* 8. April 1939 in Philadelphia; † 19. November 2004) was an american children's illustrator and writer. She was 65 years old. Her education included The University of the Arts and Cheltenham High School. She was awarded the Caldecott Medal. Her cause of death was breast cancer.
