Biography of Umar Chapra

Umar Chapra (* 1. February 1933 in Mumbai; † 13. June 2026 in Mecca) was a saudi Arabian economist. He was 93 years old. He had 4 children. His education included University of Minnesota, University of Karachi and University of Sindh. He worked at University of Minnesota. His faith was Islam. He was awarded the King Faisal International Prize in Islamic Studies. He was buried at Jannat al-Mu'alla.
