Biography of Vasiliy Yur'ev

Vasiliy Yur'ev (* 8. February 1879 in Virga; † 8. February 1962 in Kharkiv) was a soviet selectionist. He was 83 years old. He studied at Institute of Agriculture and Forestry. He worked at Kharkiv National Agrarian University named after V.V. Dokuchayev. He received 6 awards, including Stalin Prize, 2nd degree, Order of Lenin. He was buried at Third City Cemetery.
