Vasily Batyaev (* 11. February 1920 in Tenievo; † 28. May 1970 in Kharkiv) was a soviet aviator, Hero of the Soviet Union. He was 50 years old. His education included Gagarin Air Force Academy and Kacha Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. He received 5 awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of Lenin. He was buried at Second City Cemetery.
