Veljo Tormis (* August 7, 1930 in Kuusalu Rural Municipality; † January 21, 2017 in Tallinn) was an estonian composer. He was 86 years old. He was married to Lea Tormis. He studied at Moscow Conservatory. He received 5 awards, including Recipient of the Order of the National Coat of Arms, 1st Class, Order of the National Coat of Arms, 3rd Class.
