Biography of Velta Rūķe-Draviņa

Velta Rūķe-Draviņa (* 25. January 1917 in Valmiera; † 7. May 2003 in Stockholm) was a latvian-born Swedish linguist, folklorist, professor. She was 86 years old. Her education included University of Latvia and Stockholm University. She worked at University of Latvia, Lund University and Stockholm University. She was awarded the Order of the Three Stars, 3rd Class. She was buried at Forest Cemetery.
