Biography of Virgilio Barco

Virgilio Barco (* 17. September 1921 in Cúcuta; † 20. May 1997 in Bogotá) was a kolumbianischer Politiker und Präsident. He was 75 years old. He was married to Carolina Isakson Proctor. His education included National University of Colombia, Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and School Sacred Heart of Jesus. His faith was Catholicism. His awards include Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic‎, Grand Collar of the Order of Prince Henry and Grand Cross of the Order of the Sun of Peru‎. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Central Cemetery of Bogotá.
