Biography of Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Bortko

Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Bortko (* 27. September 1924 in Kursk; † 12. March 1983 in Moscow) was a russian theatre director. He was 58 years old. He studied at Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. He worked at Malaya Bronnaya Theatre, Gogol Theatre, Odesa Oblast Academic Drama Theater and Pushkin State Drama Theatre Kursk. His awards include Honored Art Worker of the USSR, Order of the Red Star and Medal "For Courage". He was buried at Golovinskoye Cemetery.
