Walentin Nikolajewitsch Makarow (* 30. August 1919 in Sevastopol; † 20. May 1978 in Minsk) was a hero of the Soviet Union. He was 58 years old. He studied at Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. He received 10 awards, including Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", Order of the Red Banner. He was buried at Eastern Cemetery.
