Biography of Walter Dening

Walter Dening (* 23. July 1846 in Ottery St Mary; † 5. December 1913 in Sendai) was a journalist. He was 67 years old. He was married to Victoria Croggon. He had at least 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). He studied at Church Missionary Society College, Islington. He worked at Church Mission Society, Keio Gijuku, Ministry of Education, Science Sports and Culture, Tokyo Higher Normal School, 成立学舎, Ministry of the Navy of Japan, Second Higher School and The Times. His faith was Anglicanism. He was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 4th class. His cause of death was Heart attack.
