Biography
Vasily Aksyonov (* August 20, 1932 in Kazan; † July 6, 2009 in Moscow) was a soviet-American writer. He was 76 years old. He studied at First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg. His awards include Russian Booker Prize and Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres. His cause of death was cardiovascular disease. He was buried at Vagankovo Cemetery.
