William Safire (* 17. December 1929 in New York City; † 27. September 2009 in Rockville) was an american journalist and presidential speechwriter. He was 79 years old. His education included Bronx High School of Science and Syracuse University. His awards include Presidential Medal of Freedom and Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at King David Memorial Gardens.
