Biography of Wladimir Köppen

Wladimir Köppen (* 25. September 1846 in Saint Petersburg; † 22. June 1940 in Graz) was a deutscher Meteorologe, Klimatologe, Geograph und Botaniker. He was 93 years old. He had at least 1 child (1 daughter). His education included Saint Petersburg State University, Leipzig University and Heidelberg University. He worked at Deutsche Seewarte and The Voeikov Main Geophysical Observatory. His awards include honorary doctorate of the University of Graz and Adlerschild des Deutschen Reiches.
