Biography of Yakov Batyuk

Yakov Batyuk (* 12. May 1918 in Rizhani; † 7. September 1943 in Nizhyn) was an ukrainian Soviet resistance leader in World War II. He was 25 years old. He studied at Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. His awards include Order of Lenin, Hero of the Soviet Union and Medal "To a Partisan of the Patriotic War". His cause of death was gunshot wound.
