Yaoping Zhang (* 27. May 1962 in Taicang; † 20. March 2024) was a chinese–American microbiologist. He was 61 years old. He studied at Beijing Agricultural University. He worked at Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center and University of Wisconsin–Madison. His cause of death was kidney cancer.
