Yusef Lateef (* October 9, 1920 in Chattanooga; † December 23, 2013 in Shutesbury) was an american jazz multi-instrumentalist, composer, educator and spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. He was 93 years old. He had 1 child. His education included Wayne State University, University of Massachusetts Amherst and Manhattan School of Music. His faith was Islam. He was awarded the NEA Jazz Masters. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
