Biography of ʻAbd al-Ghaffār Makkāwī

ʻAbd al-Ghaffār Makkāwī (* 11. January 1930 in Belqas; † 24. December 2012) was an egyptian translator. He was 82 years old. His education included Faculty of Arts Cairo University and University of Freiburg. He worked at Faculty of Arts Cairo University, Sanaa University and Kuwait University. He was awarded the State Appreciation Award in Literature.
