Biography of Alan Lomax

Alan Lomax (* 31. January 1915 in Austin; † 19. July 2002 in Safety Harbor) was an american musicologist. He was 87 years old. He was married to Elizabeth Lyttleton Sturz. His education included Harvard University, Columbia University, University of Texas at Austin, Choate Rosemary Hall and St. Mark's School of Texas. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, National Medal of Arts.
