Alasgar Mammadov (* 10. October 1919 in Keşlə; † 29. January 2000 in Baku) was an azerbaijani arabist. He was 80 years old. His education included Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies. He worked at Baku State University, Azerbaijan Higher Military Naval School and People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the Soviet Union. His faith was Shia Islam. He was awarded the Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan.
