Biography of Albrecht Pietsch

Albrecht Pietsch (* 13. September 1934 in Zittau; † 10. March 2024 in Jena) was a deutscher Mathematiker und Hochschullehrer. He was 89 years old. His education included TUD Dresden University of Technology and Leipzig University. He worked at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. His awards include National Prize of East Germany, honorary doctor of the University of Pretoria and honorary doctor of the University of Paderborn.
