Alexander Safronov (* 23. December 1940 in Yakutsk; † 10. May 2017 in Akademgorodok) was a russian geologist. He was 76 years old. He worked at Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (IPGG SB RAS). He was awarded the Order of Friendship.
