Aleksei Yuryevich German (* 20. July 1938 in Saint Petersburg; † 21. February 2013 in Saint Petersburg) was a soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter, actor and producer. He was 74 years old. He was married to Swetlana Igorewna Karmalita. He studied at Russian State Institute of Performing Arts. He received 10 awards, including USSR State Prize, Order of Honour. His cause of death was kidney failure. He was buried at Bogoslovskoe cemetery.
