Biography of Alfred Clebsch

Alfred Clebsch (* 19. January 1833 in Königsberg; † 7. November 1872 in Göttingen) was a deutscher Mathematiker. He was 39 years old. His education included University of Königsberg, Frederick William University Berlin and Altstadt Gymnasium. He worked at University of Giessen, Polytechnikum Karlsruhe, Frederick William University Berlin and University of Göttingen. He was awarded the Poncelet Prize. His cause of death was diphtheria. He was buried at Bartholomäusfriedhof, Göttingen.
