Biography of Alfréd Rényi

Alfréd Rényi (* 20. March 1921 in Budapest; † 1. February 1970 in Budapest) was an ungarischer Mathematiker. He was 48 years old. He was married to Kató Rényi. His education included University of Szeged, Eötvös Loránd University and Saint Petersburg State University. He worked at Eötvös Loránd University, University of Debrecen and Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He was awarded the Kossuth Prize. He was buried at Farkasréti Cemetery.
