Amir Pnueli (* 22. April 1941 in Nahalal; † 2. November 2009 in New York City) was an israeli computer scientist (1941–2009) researching temporal logic, model checking, and concurrent systems. He was 68 years old. His education included Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and Weizmann Institute of Science. He received 5 awards, including Israel Prize, Turing Award. His cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage.
