Biography of Anastasios Yannoulatos

Anastasios Giannoulatos (* 4. November 1929 in Piraeus; † 25. January 2025 in Athens) was a former Primate of Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania, Member of Academy of Athens, President of World Council of Churches, Honorary President of Religions for Peace. He was 95 years old. His education included National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of Marburg and University of Hamburg. His faith was Eastern Orthodoxy. His awards include honorary member of the Athens Academy, Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 3rd class and Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 1st class. He was buried at Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral.
