Biography of András Békés

András Békés (* 23. March 1927 in Debrecen; † 18. September 2015 in Budapest) was a theatre director, teacher. He was 88 years old. He was married to Éva Gaál. His education included Piarist Gymnasium of Budapest and University of Theatre and Film Arts. His awards include Kossuth Prize, Erkel Ferenc Prize and Master Artist of the Hungarian State Opera House. He was buried at Farkasréti Cemetery.
