Biography of André Leroi-Gourhan

André Leroi-Gourhan (* 25. August 1911 in 11th arrondissement of Paris; † 19. February 1986 in 13th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer Archäologe, Paläontologe, Paläoanthropologe und Anthropologe. He was 74 years old. He was married to Arlette Leroi-Gourhan. His education included Lycée Arago and University of Paris. He worked at Collège de France, University of Paris and Guimet Museum. His awards include CNRS Gold medal, Legion of Honour and International Prize by Fyssen Foundation.
