Biography of Andrei Gennadjewitsch Karlow

Andrei Karlov (* 4. February 1954 in Moscow; † 19. December 2016 in Çankaya district) was a soviet and Russian diplomat. He was 62 years old. His education included Moscow State Institute of International Relations and Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. His faith was Eastern Orthodoxy. His awards include Hero of the Russian Federation, Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov and Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Gratitude. His cause of death was gunshot wound. He was buried at Khimki Cemetery.
