Andy Griffith (* 1. June 1926 in Mount Airy; † 3. July 2012 in Manteo) was an american actor, comedian, television producer, singer, and writer. He was 86 years old. He had 2 children. His education included University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Mount Airy High School. He received 7 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, Theatre World Award. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Roanoke Island.
