Biography of Aryeh Dvoretzky

Aryeh Dvoretzky (* 3. May 1916 in Khorol; † 8. May 2008 in Jerusalem) was an israelischer Mathematiker. He was 92 years old. He was married to Sarah Dvoretzky. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Hebrew Reali School. He worked at University of California, Berkeley, Columbia University, Purdue University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Weizmann Institute of Science. His awards include Israel Prize, Solomon Bublick Award and Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He was buried at Har HaMenuchot.
