Biography of Barney M. Giles

Barney M. Giles (* 13. September 1892 in Mineola; † 6. May 1984 in San Antonio) was an united States Army Air Forces general during World War II. He was 91 years old. His education included University of Texas School of Law and United States Army Command and General Staff College. His awards include Distinguished Flying Cross, Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire and Air Medal. He was buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
