American physician, geneticist and Nobel prize winner
Baruch Samuel Blumberg (* 28. July 1925 in Brooklyn; † 5. April 2011 in Mountain View) was an american physician, geneticist and Nobel prize winner. He was 85 years old. His education included Balliol College, Columbia University, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Union College, Far Rockaway High School and Yeshivah of Flatbush. He received 9 awards, including Canada Gairdner International Award, Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
