Biography of Benjamin Smith Barton

Benjamin Smith Barton (* 10. February 1766 in Lancaster; † 19. December 1815 in New York City) was an uS-amerikanischer Botaniker. He was 49 years old. He was married to Mary Penington Barton. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included University of Edinburgh and Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked at Pennsylvania Hospital and Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His awards include Magellanic Premium and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His cause of death was tuberculosis.
