Biography of Bernard d’Espagnat

Bernard d’Espagnat (* 22. August 1921 in Fourmagnac; † 1. August 2015 in 15th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer theoretischer Physiker und Wissenschaftsphilosoph. He was 93 years old. His education included École polytechnique and Science Faculty of Paris. He worked at University of Texas at Austin, Science Faculty of Paris, University of California, Santa Barbara, University of Paris-Sud and University of Paris. His awards include Knight of the Legion of Honour, Templeton Prize and Officer of the French Order of Academic Palms. He was buried at Cimetière parisien de Thiais.
