Billy Wilder (* 22. June 1906 in Sucha Beskidzka; † 27. March 2002 in Beverly Hills) was an austrian-born American filmmaker and screenwriter. He was 95 years old. He studied at University of Vienna. He received 8 awards, including Knight Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Great Golden Medal of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
