Biography of Carl Brockelmann

Carl Brockelmann (* 17. September 1868 in Rostock; † 6. May 1956 in Halle (Saale)) was a deutscher Orientalist und Semitist. He was 87 years old. His education included University of Rostock, University of Strasbourg and University of Wrocław. He worked at University of Wrocław, University of Königsberg, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Frederick William University Berlin. He was awarded the National Prize of East Germany.
