Biography of Carl Melles

Carl Melles (* 15. July 1926 in Budapest; † 25. April 2004 in Vienna) was a österreichischer Dirigent ungarischer Herkunft. He was 77 years old. He was married to Judith Melles. His education included Franz Liszt Academy of Music and Berzsenyi Dániel Secondary School. He worked at Franz Liszt Academy of Music and Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. His awards include Great Silver Medal of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria and Franz Liszt Prize. He was buried at Hietzing Cemetery.
